Albany Funding, Inc. is a Registered Mortgage Broker with the New York State Banking Department. Loans are arranged through third party providers. We write loans for anyone in the State of New York. Good Credit, Bad Credit or No credit is not a problem. Self Employed, Unemployed or on the job 20 years, we can find you a mortgage. We are your outlet for all of your mortgage needs. Appointments are taken seven days a week 365 days a year. Customer service is our niche at Albany Funding, Inc. We understand the stress and demands on your everyday life and buying or refinancing your home should not be a stressful time. What We Do
Mortgage Brokers originate loans to be placed with a third party (bank). Our job is to find the best rate with the lowest closing costs depending on the individuals needs. We order the appraisal, credit and all supporting documents and prepare a package to be sold to the bank. After, and only after the loan closes we get paid from the lender. (Poor credit loans, or loans with lower rates do require points from the borrower).
The benefit of working with a broker over a bank directly is if we take your loan and the bank we send it to declines it we can have your file shipped to another lender within 24 hours and it doesn't cost you anything additional. If you go to a bank and apply for a loan you are required to pay an application, appraisal and credit fee. If after being in processing for six weeks you are declined you need to start all over again. You are not allowed to take your package somewhere else, and the money you spent is gone. Why risk it? Why would you limit yourself to one lender?
